What I’ve Been Working On

It’s been a busy and exciting time in the studio lately! I wanted to share a little peek behind the scenes and show you what I’ve been working on—some very different projects, but each one a joy to paint.

🖤 Black Horse Watercolor Commission

First up is a special watercolor commission of a beautiful black horse. I loved capturing the strong, quiet spirit of this animal—its glistening coat, soulful eyes, and elegant stance. Custom animal portraits like this one are some of my favorite pieces to paint, especially when they’re filled with personal meaning for the person who commissioned them. This is beautiful Bella.

🐿️ New Red Squirrel Watercolor Original

I also finished a new red squirrel painting! This little guy has so much personality, with his fluffy tail and alert, curious posture. It took me three tries to get it right but his personality came out. I kept the style loose and natural, with vibrant green to contrast with his ginger locks. Just realized he/she's my animal totem since hubby always calls me "Squirrel". 🤣 This original is available in my Etsy shop. (click the pic)

✈️ WWI Fighter Jet Prints Collection

And finally, something for aviation lovers: I’ve been working on a brand new collection of WWI fighter airplane prints, including:

  • Fokker Dr.I Triplane (yes, the Red Baron’s iconic plane!)

  • Nieuport 28

  • Curtiss JN-4 "Jenny"

  • Sopwith Camel

Each is painted in classic watercolor style with minimal backgrounds to let the planes shine. These colorful prints are perfect for boys’ rooms, a baby nursery with a vintage aviation theme, or collectors who love early flight history.

Thanks for following along with my work! I always love hearing what pieces speak to you most—whether it’s a woodland critter, a proud horse, or a bit of aviation history. Let me know what you think on Facebook or Instagram
