I've been invited to set up a table at the Council Bluffs, IA Fly In Breakfast in August. It's a small very niche type of get together. My husband is over the moon looking forward to it because he worked all the way to Cadet Commander/Spaatz Award in the Civil Air Patrol as a teenager and along with the lure of "The Pancake Man", he is all in!
I'm definitely going to do a couple of their aircraft but am also using this as an incentive to work on a series of WWI airplane paintings. This is the first one, the Curtiss JN "Jenny" and she is really pretty. I tend to lean toward wanting to paint old and rusty, I mean "vintage" :)
